The Menagerie is a billboard project installed in Hazelhurst's gardens by leading New Zealand photographer Gavin Hipkins. The images are details of exotic animals photographed in European museums. The relocating and bringing back to life of the animals in a garden environment builds on Hipkins' interests in postcolonial discourses and museum practices.
